YEMENI MINISTER VISITS MAYOR MELİH GÖKÇEK

-THE MAYOR RECEIVED THE DELEGATION OF YEMEN LOCAL ADMINISTRATION MINISTRY AT HIS OFFICE

-YEMEN’S LOCAL ADMINISTRATION MINISTER AL-YAZIDI : “WE HAVE SEEN THAT YOU HAVE GREAT EXPERIENCES AND SUCCESSES”

 

yemen_bakan_ziyaret_26092013_330.jpgMayor of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Melih Gökçek received the Yemen Local Administration Minister Ali Mohamed Al Yezidi and his delegation at his office.

The Yemeni Delegation, which was in Ankara for the training organized by Union of Municipalities of Turkey and personnel of Local Administration Ministry of Yemen visited the mayor Melih Gökçek.

Yemen’s Local Adaministration Minister  Ali Mohamed Al Yezidi, Deputy minister Kamal Mohammed Seif Mohsen and  Deputy Secretary General of Turkey’s Union of Municipalities Mehmet Keleş and Secretary General of  Metropolitan Municipality Kamil Kılıç attended to the meeting.

Greeting his guests “Welcome to Ankara”, the Mayor said “ I hope you enjoy your time here  ”

    

“WE WISH TO BENEFIT FROM YOUR EXPERIENCES”

Expressing that they found opportunity to see the recreational areas and urban renewal projects in Ankara, al-Yazidi said:

  “Turkey is our second homeland. We greatly appreciate your warm hospitality. We have been treated nicely. As we have seen and been informed, you have great experiences and successes in the field of municipality. We wish to benefit from these experiences, as well.  We attach importance to decentralisation. Decentralized local governance is of high urgency. We know how good you do on this.

After a short conversation Mayor Gökçek presented his guests with ceramic plates. And the Minister al-Yazidi presented a picture of an Ottoman bridge to the Mayor.
