MEHTER BAND PARADE ON THE HISTORICAL BRIDGE OF STARI MOST

MARCHING AND GIVING CONCERTS IN THE STREETS OF BOSNIA WITH A GREAT PUBLIC INTEREST, THE NEXT STOP OF METROPOLITAN MUNICIPALITY MEHTER BAND WAS MOSTAR.

 

mostarda-mehter-330.jpg The fourth day stop of the parade and concerts of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mehter Band which hit the hearts of Bosnia-Herzagovinans was the historical Stari Most in Mostar. The Sounds of Mehter Platoons rised up in the 450 years old bridge that was build with the most developed technology of its’ time by Hayreddin the Architect who was the pupil of Sinan the Architect. Ankara Metropolitan Municipality Mehter Band was in Bosnia-Herzagovia to participate in the “Turkey’s Spiritual Architects” program organized by International University of Sarajevo and gained great interest with its’ parades and concerts given in various cities of the country. 

Before the fourth day concert Mehter Band made a visit to the Turkey’s Consul General of Mostar Tolga Bermek with Metropolitan Municipality Council Members and bureaucrats.

 

-HISTORICAL PARADE ON THE HISTORICAL BRIDGE

After the visit, the Mehter Platoons gave a brilliant concert to the people of Mostar in Tekija na Buni Tekke and then passed to the Stari Most and gave a parade with marches.

With a great interest from people the Mehter Band gave a magnificent parade through the Stari Most accompanied with “Tarihi Cevir” march and lead on to the concert area in front of the Kargozbey Mosque with the beats and claps of the people. Mehter Band also performed a memorable concert here too with special historical marches those that again gained great interest also by Turkish citizens in the district as well as Mostarians.

The last stop of the Mehter Band in Mostar was University of Dzemal Bijedic. Known as the history’s oldest military band Mehter Band gave a magnificent concert here too in the presence of the Mayor of Mostar and Minister of Herzagovia Neretva Urban Planning.
