Our Department Directorate was established with the organizational scheme, which had been approved by Decision of 16.06.2006 No. 1432 of Ankara Metropolitan Municipal Council, and its purpose of establishment is to study Turkey’s position and participation at local level against International Organizations established in various countries of the world, to make it reach an active and effective position, to carry out all kinds of legal studies in order to show the world that Ankara is one of the most important cities from past to present in terms of global manners, to establish and improve dialogues with local governments of other countries in order to increase both technical and cultural level of Ankara and to establish coordination on behalf of the Municipality, to ensure updated information flow to top-level executives of the municipality and to assist other units of the government upon request.
