Kurtbogazi Dam was constructed between 1963 and 1967 and located over Kurtbogazi Stream in Ankara (city) for the purpose of supplying irrigation, drinking and potable water.

The body volume of the dam which is earth body filling type is 834.000 cubic meter and 52,60 meter high from the stream bed. The lake volume is 101,50 hm3 at the regular water level, the lake area is 5,50 square kilometer at the regular water level. It provides irrigation service for 3.780 acres of land and supplies 67 hm3 drinking and potable water per year.
