Eymir Lake is located inside the territory of Ankara City. Its land belongs to Middle East Technical University and the work area of Middle East Technical University’s boating team. It has a boat house belonging to the team. It has a nice and natural view in winter as frozen. The lake area is 13,5 km and has asphalt road.

It is available to walk and enter the lake from Oran district, which is suitable for walking. As the lake is surrounded by the hills, it is far from the city noise and pollution.

The activities such as boating, water sports, fishing (by fishing line) and picnic, etc. are available at the Eymir Lake.

The Middle East Technical University Academic and Administrative staff and its students can enter by showing their Middle East Technical University ID Cards and the graduate and visitors can enter by showing their Member Cards of Eymir Lake every day, between 08.00 and 21.00 in winter and between 06.00 and 22.00 in summer.

For the membership of Eymir Lake, it is required to fill the application form and submit to the Middle East Technical University Directorate of Indoor Services.

The Middle East Technical University is responsible for ensuring the security of the Eymir Lake located inside the area and the arrangement around the lake environment. The rules which shall be obeyed are issued by the Middle East Technical University.
