It was constructed between 1961 and 1964 and located at the 5 km south of Cubuk County. Its maximum water volume is 22.000.000 cubic meter.

The dam is supplied by Mendek, Kısla, Hacikadin, Bagircan, Cayir and Kirkpinar Streams. It supplied 12.773.600 cubic meter drinking water, 1.557.500 cubic water for vaporization and 1.393.100 cubic meter for irrigation of the city (for 2004). The water which is pumped from the Cubuk II Dam is purified at the Pursaklar Water Treatment Plant and also the water requirement of Cubuk County is supplied from that dam.
